Our History

Historic Reference

Ivan Apollonovich Charushin, who had been the architect of the Vyatka Province since 1896, built the Central Hotel building in 1937.

Since 1937 the Central Hotel has been renovated a lot of times, but it has never ceased to accommodate guests of the city.

Central Lenin Street and its location on a hill contribute to the grandeur of the building.

You can find other architectural works of Ivan Apollonovich within a walking distance from the hotel. You can have a walk around the city and admire them:
• The castle of a merchant TikhonBulychev (it now houses the Federal Security Service Department) at 96a, Lenin Street
• The bank of Fyodor Veretennikov at 23, Spasskaya Street
• The store of Pyotr Klobukov (now the building of College of Musical Arts named after Kazenin) at 15, Spasskaya Street
• Serafimovskaya Church at 25, Uritskogo Street

Charushin Hotel has an exposition devoted to the history of the building and the architect.
